Folkfaro
Folkfaro is a festival that celebrates folkloric art. During several days, you can enjoy music, dances and performances in the city of Faro, the capital of the Algarve. It is organized by the Folkloric Group of Faro with the support of the local municipality of Faro. The event exists since 2003 and is certified by CIOFF (the International Council of Organizations of Folklore Festivals and Folk Arts). If you like folklore and traditional dances, you should visit this festival.
What to expect
At Folkfaro you will see traditional dances from all around the world, and enjoy a variety of music. It brings together folklore associations from several countries. There are street parades, dance workshops and entertainment. It is a lot of fun, for both young and old.

Where?
Folkfaro is held in the city centre of Faro. The main stage is located next to the garden Jardim Manuel Bivar, near the marina. If you come by car, you probably have to park it some distance from the centre and then continue walking.
When?
The festival is held in the second half of August and lasts for several days. The exact dates are different each year.

What is the entrance fee?
Folkfaro is a free event. There is no entrance fee.
