Aquashow: the complete guide

Slides and attractions
You can have a great day out at Aquashow. Below you can read a short description of the different attractions, so you know what’s coming.
Watercoaster (roller coaster)
This roller coaster takes you to a height of 23,5 metres during a 740 metre ride in and out of water. It is one of the largest roller coasters in Portugal. You ride in an open cart at 70 kilometres an hour, which is sure to make your heart pounding with joy!
You can see that the drop from the roller coaster is quite steep, which is a lot of fun!
Wave pool
There is a wave pool on-site, which generates big waves. It is like swimming in the sea on a day with a lot of waves.
Free Fall
If you like to test your limits and raise your adrenaline level to the maximum, you have to try the Free Fall. It consists of two slides which are 129 metres in length and 32 metres high. When this slide opened in 2015, it was inaugurated by the world famous surfer Garrett McNamara.
Twin Space Shuttle
The Twin Space Shuttle is an impressive double slide that is 17 metres high and 178 metres long. It features two giant capsules and the special effects inside make sure that you will feel the adrenaline rush from start to finish.
River Slide
If you like adventure and fun, then you cannot miss this amazing slide. The River Slide is an awesome slide where you slide down on a yellow rubber ring, with a maximum of 4 friends in total. This is actually the biggest water slide of Aquashow. A fun filled path awaits you!
Aqualandia
This is a beautiful colourfoul area designed for the little ones. Aqualandia is full of mini slides, showers and fountains where water falls down on the kids. The water is shallow, so your children can have a safe and wonderful day out playing around.
Mini Train
The little ones love to be the passengers of the Mini Train. Hop on and let their imagination take them anywhere.
Top Swing
The Top Swing isn’t for the faint-hearted. You are seated in a ring which has a capacity of 30 people. At 12 metres high, you will rotate to an angle of 110 degrees. This is a favourite attraction for many and will let you scream at the top of your lungs.
Tropical Pool
The Tropical Pool is a big pool with a waterfall. Relax and swim like you are in a tropical paradise.
Aquakids
The Aquakids area is a wonderful area for small kids. Here they can enjoy mini slides and parts where water falls down like you are in a shower.
Shark Slide
Is fear not in your vocabulary? Then challenge the thrilling Shark Slide!
Pink Slide
The world is better in pink. The Pink Slide is a slide where you only see pink. Float and get carried away on your ride full of twists and turns!
Air Race
Daredevils, get ready for an adrealine boost in the Air Race. You sit in an open little airplane that has room for 4 passengers. The planes spin around a tower and the individual planes make summersaults as well.
Speed Race
Who can slide down the fastest? Test your speed and race down to the pool. In the Speed Race you use a mat where you lay flat down on your tummy for the descend. The slide is 100 metres in length. You can race with 5 people at the same time.
Tubes
If you love to slide, then try out all the different tubes. You can set them apart by their colour: green, blue and red.
White Fall
The White Fall is one cool slide where you slide down and go up again. An absolute favourite adrenaline kick for many visitors.
Jacuzzi
Take a moment to do absolutely nothing in this beautiful hot jacuzzi surrounded by rocks.
Swimming Pool
What would a water park be without a swimming pool? Get your exercise and swim as many leaps as you can at the classic swimming pool of Aquashow.
Thunder Cruise
The Thunder Cruise consists of 6 big yellow and orange slides, where you slide down sitting in a rubber ring. You can slide alone or together with a friend on a double ring.
Wild Snake
This awesomely designed slide in the shape of a snake is 16 metres high and will take you on a pitch black journey in the dark.
Lazy River
Another chilled out water ride is the Lazy River. Go on a rubber ring alone or with a friend and float on the river stream that is 250 metres in length.
Foam Tracks
The Foam Tracks are 5 white slides that are made for acceleration. Slide down as fast as you can without using rings or mats.
Tropical Paradise (Indoor water park coming end of 2019)
Aquashow already has more than enough slides to give you an unforgettable day out. However, it’s not stopping there. By the end of 2019, Aquashow will open a brand new indoor water park. Check out the preview video below.
Shows
If you (or your kids) love animals, then you will be pleasantly surprised at Aquashow. You will have the chance to watch three different shows where you get to see and touch the animals.
Parrot show
Come watch the colourful and playful parrots. At the parrot show you can watch our little friends from up close. Part of the show is an educational talk about how we can protect our rainforests.
Birds of prey show
In this fantastic show you will see birds of prey in action. Let their agility and speed amaze you.
Reptile show
This is a fantastic reptile show where you can enjoy watching beautiful animals and interact with lizards and snakes.
Aquashow Park Hotel
A truly unique feature of Aquashow is that it has its own hotel: the Aquashow Park Hotel. General information & facilities
In the Aquashow family park you can find the following general facilities:
- Lockers. You can store your valuable belongings in the lockers. The locker measurements are 40 × 30 × 48 cm. The charge is € 5 for the entire day.
- Sunbeds. This paid service costs € 15 for 2 sunbeds, a straw umbrella and a small table.
- First-aid. Safety is a main priority in the park. There is a first-aid service on-site in case any incidents happen. The service is located near the wave pool.
- Bathrooms. There are changing rooms and shower facilities, both of which are quite large. There are also plenty of toilet facilities available on-site.
- Souvenir shop. There is a souvenir shop on the terrain where you can buy souvenirs, bathers, towels and practical amenities such as sun screen.
When you arrive, first thing you do is to pick a spot to put your towel and belongings. You can put your towel on the grass for free. In general, you are not allowed to use the water slides with any type of jewellery, so keep them in the lockers. By the way, it is allowed to bring a GoPro (or similar) camera to the slides.
Restaurants
Aquashow has several restaurants and snack bars. Kids meals such as hamburgers and hotdogs with chips and a drink cost € 5 and adult meals cost around € 8. You can also get salads, sandwiches or a pizza. In addition, there are picnic areas with tables and seats where you can consume your own meals.
Opening hours
Aquashow is open in the high season from May 1st until September 30. During those days, Aquashow is open almost every day from 10.00 in the morning until 17.00-18.30 in the afternoon, depending on the month:
- May: open until 17.00.
- June and September: open until 17.30.
- July: open until 18.00.
- August: open until 18.30.

Costs
Entrance to the park will cost you € 29 for adults and € 21 for children. Pregnant women get 50% discount on the ticket price. Children up to 5 years old can enter the park for free. It is best to buy your ticket online. This will save you time, since you don’t have to wait in line.
How to get there
The easiest way to move around in the Algarve is by car. If you don’t have one, make sure to rent a car. Aquashow is located in Quarteira, near the N396 and Vilamoura. The exact address is EN 396, Semino, 8125-303 Quarteira. It is easy to get there by car and parking is free. In addition, Aquashow offers transport services from all the large holiday destinations in the Algarve.
